Batchelder Tiles in the DairylandAlthough Batchelder tiles were manufactured in Pasadena, California, in the early 20th century, the aesthetic of Arts & Crafts tile maker was sought after for properties across the United States, especially in the America's Dairyland, Wisconsin. Batchelder tiles were selected for fountains, ponds, fireplaces, floors, soda fountains, and more in buildings in the State, especially homes and schools. This niche-publication will be an illustrated survey of approximately 60 sites primarily in Wisconsin, as well as Illinois, Iowa, and Minnesota. These include many elegant residences such as the Walter Kohler family home, the historic Warner Theater in Milwaukee, and the famous Pokorny's Drug Store in Racine.
